Paid subscriptions are not open yet. These documents describe the product and the terms of the planned subscription offer. The website currently takes no payments. A purchase is possible only after a live checkout is made available.
1. Who is responsible and what this covers
Dubl Email is responsible for the personal data it processes to operate dubl.email and provide product support. Contact us at me@dubl.email or 05 Huỳnh Thúc Kháng, Danang, Vietnam. This notice covers our website, downloadable application and interactions with us.
Email, calendar and AI providers process data under their own terms when you connect them. A payment seller named at checkout also has its own responsibilities. We distinguish the currently available local preview from optional cloud and payment services that have not yet opened to customers.
2. Website visits and browser storage
Our web server receives technical request data such as IP address, request time, requested path, browser information and response status. Access and error logs are used for security, availability and troubleshooting. The website currently has no analytics service, advertising tracker or registration form.
Your browser stores the theme you choose. When you use the language menu, a first-party cookie called dubl_locale remembers your choice for one year; you can remove it in your browser settings. Only at the root address dubl.email, the website chooses a language in this order: your saved choice, a supported browser language, an approximate country from your IP address, then English. Country lookup uses the DB-IP Lite database on our own server; visitor IP addresses are not sent to a geolocation service. We do not request GPS location. Direct language links always open that language. The interactive demo uses fictional messages, keeps edits in memory and does not connect your mailbox. Visiting the site does not authorise unrelated marketing.
3. Email and information on your device
The application downloads messages, headers, attachments, contacts and related metadata needed for the accounts you connect. Notes, tasks, settings and search indexes may also be stored locally. This supports reading, searching and organising your mail; sending and synchronising require a connection to the relevant provider.
Credentials and tokens are protected using an installation key secured by the operating system where supported. This does not mean the entire email database or every attachment is encrypted, and ordinary email is not made end-to-end encrypted by using the app. Secure your device and backups. The local download does not upload your mailbox content to a dubl cloud mailbox.
4. Connected email and calendar services
Connections use the permissions you grant through OAuth, provider APIs or IMAP/SMTP. These can expose account identifiers, messages, attachments and calendar data required for the features you use. Actions you confirm may be sent back to the provider, including sending mail, changing folders or responding to an invitation.
You can disconnect an account in the app and revoke OAuth access with the provider. Removing a local copy is different from deleting a message or account at the provider. Provider retention and backup rules continue to apply to data that remains with them.
5. AI, translation and search
A local model processes the selected information on your device. Ollama or a configured CLI can use a local or remote endpoint according to your settings. With an external engine, your prompt and the relevant message excerpts, drafts or context may be sent to that engine’s provider.
Dubl Email does not use your email content to train a general-purpose model or sell it for advertising. This is not a promise about an external provider’s practices: review its retention and training settings before use. The browser demo performs no real AI inference. Avoid sending information to an engine that you are not authorised to use for that information.
6. Support and purchase information
If you email us, we receive your address, message and any files you choose to include. We use them to respond, investigate issues and maintain the support conversation. Send only necessary information and redact unrelated messages. We will not ask you to email passwords, authentication codes or complete card details.
No live checkout is connected today. If you later purchase through Paddle, Paddle will collect the payment and billing information needed for its transaction. We may receive the buyer email, order and subscription identifiers, status, product, amount, currency and tax information needed for access and support. Payment credentials are handled by the checkout provider, rather than collected by a dubl.email card form.
7. Optional cloud services and recipients
The currently downloadable local preview does not depend on an active dubl cloud account. A prepared Supabase backend is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, for future account, entitlement and settings services. Preparing that backend does not by itself upload your existing messages or enable synchronisation in the installed local app.
If cloud features are enabled in a future release, the relevant data categories, purpose and controls must be disclosed before collection begins. Infrastructure providers and our email provider may process the technical or support data needed to operate their services. We do not sell your personal data. We disclose data to authorities only where legally required or justified to protect legal rights and safety.
8. Purposes and legal grounds
Where a legal ground is required, providing requested features and handling purchases or support can be necessary for a contract or pre-contract steps. Protecting the website and diagnosing faults can rely on legitimate interests, subject to applicable balancing and objection rights. Required accounting, tax and legal records are processed to meet legal obligations.
If a feature or law requires consent, we must obtain it before that processing and provide a way to withdraw it. Connecting a service is not blanket consent for unrelated uses. We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
9. How long information is kept
Local data remains on your device until removed through the app or operating system; copies in exports and backups may remain separately. Uninstalling an application may leave its data directory. The demo’s in-memory changes disappear when its instance is unloaded or reset.
Server logs follow the hosting server’s rotation settings. Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the matter and maintain a reasonable record; legal or accounting obligations may require longer retention. We do not claim one fixed retention period for all data. You may ask us about the applicable period or request deletion where the law allows it.
10. International processing and security
The supplier is based in Vietnam; the website server, email services, optional future cloud services and providers you select may operate in other countries. Data leaving your device can therefore be processed outside your country. The current location of the prepared Supabase project is not a promise that all connected services process data only in the EU.
We use HTTPS for the website and restrict administrative access. No system guarantees absolute security. Where a transfer requires additional legal safeguards, those safeguards must be in place before the relevant service is enabled. Contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards applicable to your use. Report suspected security issues to me@dubl.email without including active secrets.
11. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy of data we control, and withdraw consent where relevant. Email me@dubl.email with enough information to identify the request. We may need proportionate identity verification; do not send identity documents unless a secure method has been agreed.
We will respond within the period required by the law that applies and explain any lawful limitation, such as records we must retain. For information stored only on your device, use local controls; for a provider’s copy, contact that provider. You may complain to a competent data-protection authority. The product is not directed at children; contact us if a child has supplied personal information to us.
12. Updates and related notices
We will update this notice when the way data is handled changes and provide any notice or consent required before a materially different use. The date above identifies this version. Enabling payments, analytics or new cloud collection requires an appropriate update; those services must not be treated as already active because they appear in a roadmap.
Read the terms and privacy notices of providers you choose. For future Paddle orders, the Paddle privacy notice describes Paddle’s separate processing. Questions, privacy requests and concerns about this policy can be sent to me@dubl.email.
